She may not exactly preform as they want her to now without them messing with her memories.
Heeey, I say that was a nice plot armor there.
I mean he could be in so many different states like mangled, fried, gibbed or vaporized.

Actually a lot of your characters could use a break. And a hug. And a visit from a competent mental health professional.
