Either Ivory is willfully ignorant about how messing with memory like that could make them more controllable or she’s willfully trying to make Alpha stop trying to remember.
Either way, with step 2 being threatened at, it sounds like Ivory isn’t concerned enough and might be focusing a bit to much on Alpha, and not the people with keys to their biology and sending them on deadly missions.
Based off earlier reactions from the female human…Ivory is just too focused on Aden to really care about anything else. Aden needs to be ready to protect her when the time comes. Also Daniel might protest against step 2. Depends how attached he is to his xeno creations he is, and on his answer to his earlier moral question he asked himself when Aden was younger. Currently it seems like Daniel has decided he’s doing the right thing, or at least decided it’s better to do as he’s told rather than risk death himself.
