He’s becoming more and more like the machine the Consortium wants him to be. If he was ordered to one day eliminate Ivory, I wonder if he’d be able to do it?
Remember phase 2 is The Conditioning. What’s going on with Alpha seems like conditioning to me. Unless he does exactly as he’s told with no questions asked, he’s a bad xeno? That stinks of conditional brainwashing. If Ivory doesn’t find that evidence she’s looking for soon, he could very well kill her without a second thought if ordered to do so. Wouldn’t suprise me if that’s WHY Ivory doesn’t appear to be getting the same treatment. Alpha’s final test? Kill Ivory to prove his loyalty once and for all(and to confirm that yes, he’s well and truly brainwashed beyond saving).… Read more »

We’ve SEEN them use death as punishment for disobedience before as a means of conditioning.
Pretty sure it’s a tactic that seen use IRL as well(unfortunately).
