Raises some interesting questions. What is life actually like for your average humans living under the Consortium? Since we’ve been following mostly the Xenos, and occasionally the rebels or the Consortium scientists, it’s looked like all cages and no gilded. On the other hand, we know from the other series that some Xenos are bred as glorified housepets* so surely at least the rich folks are living comfortably enough. *Which (in addition to the horrific moral/ethical problems with having a genetically-engineered slave as a “friend”/”companion”) seems like a waste of time and money. Why not just get a regular dog… Read more »
The whole focus of the xeno experiments comics are xenos, but I paint a little bit of the world around them so people can just “infere” and get their own views on the situation. But what makes a little more difficult to understand more, is that the entire comic is set in the “Consortium city” a city mostly mostly dedicated to science, most of the people there are scientist. an of course “xenos” doesn’t really make much sense for a society, but the Consortium just decided to see how far this idea could go, this is why in Derideal there… Read more »
